The work, Fringe, is a dual reflection on the word, as both on the edge or periphery of a dominant group, and the strips of hide hanging from Indigenous women’s dancing regalia. Despite the challenges Indigenous people face daily in a colonial society, this message is of hope and inspiration, to take pride and dance towards the sun rise.
